Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah has expressed his frustrations after being denied entry to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Headquarters on Kiambu Road in Nairobi.
In a statement on Monday, January 6, the lawmaker accused the detectives of barring him from entering while following up on a colleague's Certificate of Good Conduct, which he claimed had taken an unreasonably long time to be issued.
The Senator, while lamenting the incident, described it as shocking and a glaring indication of systemic inefficiencies that, he noted, continued to hinder the delivery of services in public offices.
According to Omtatah, all public institutions are mandated to serve all citizens with transparency, accountability, and fairness.
