Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei on Thursday, February 20, hinted at an impending overhaul of the government, particularly among Principal Secretaries.
Speaking after Oburu's selection to chair the Senate Energy Committee, Cherargei, a key ally of President William Ruto, suggested further changes in senior state positions, alleging that future appointments would favour allies of Raila Odinga.
According to the senator, this move aims to build a broad-based government by incorporating leaders allied with the former Prime Minister. "In the near future, the incoming changes to Permanent (Principal) Secretaries (PSs) and other appointments shall fully reflect a broad-based government," Cherargei remarked.
