Former presidential aspirant and businessman Jimi Wanjigi can sigh with relief after the High Court barred the state from revoking his firearm license.

In a ruling delivered by Justice Bahati Mwamuye on Thursday, the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) and the National Police Service were also barred from arresting the businessman over cases of firearms ownership.

Additionally, the court barred the authorities from pressing further charges against the workers and staff of the businessman, some of whom were arrested alongside him.  Wanjigi's staff Dancan Odhiambo and Kelvin Ochieng' were arrested outside the politician's house in Nairobi over claims of illegal ownership of explosives.
