The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has revealed a new scam targeting companies in the country. In a post on their social media on Friday, February 21, the authority exposed a fraud scheme that is sharing emails purporting to award tenders for the construction of various infrastructures. According to KeNHA, the fraudsters are impersonating the authority and sending emails with the subject "Notification of Intention to Award." KeNHA revealed that the scammers have created a fake email account with a domain similar to that of the KeNHA.
The goal is to mislead unsuspecting individuals.
