Lawmakers allied with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua issued a list of demands to the government following the recent wave of abductions that have hit the country.
Speaking during a press conference in Nairobi under the stewardship of Kiambu Senator Karungo Wa Thang'wa on Tuesday, January 7, the MPs lashed out at the government over the raging spate of abductions and demanded an end to the abductions.
Among the list of demands issued by the lawmakers include the establishment of an independent public inquiry commission to investigate the alarming series of public abductions targeting citizens perceived to be critics of the President and the executive.
The MPs also called for the examination of the politicisation efforts within police services and forces and other independent institutions.
