Trouble is brewing within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) following remarks by the party's Nairobi branch chairperson, George Aladwa, on Sunday, suggesting that Secretary General Edwin Sifuna could be ousted for disloyalty.

The Makadara MP further noted that ODM had previously seen powerful Secretary Generals who eventually exited after straying from the party's principles. ''I want to warn Sifuna who refers to himself as the Secretary General of ODM that we have had many SGs who were way powerful like Ababu Namwamba and the rest.

Even him, he will go the way Ababu did,'' Aladwa stated.  Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna following Senate proceedings on September 8, 2022.
