Sections of the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) will experience a blackout on Sunday between 9 am to 5 pm, just hours after a fire broke out at the airport.
According to a statement by Kenya Power dated February 22, power will be switched off in the mentioned areas for maintenance. "Please receive planned power maintenance for tomorrow," the statement read.
The first area named in the notice is the Barabara Plaza Road inside the JKIA airport.
This will affect KeNHA Barabara Plaza, HCD, KCAA, and adjacent customers.
