Defence Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya has confirmed that the government is crafting a tamper proof process for recruiting the uniformed officers.

Speaking during a thanksgiving ceremony at, Ematsuli Church of God, she underscored that once concluded, the standard process will be made public as the government strives to check recurrent allegations of malpractices and favouritism during recruitment of KDF officers "We have heard the complains and mummers and we are panel beating the process to minimise those malpractices," asserted the defence secretary.

She also promised that the recruitment process in different services shall reflect the diversity of the Kenyan people.

The process despite attracting thousands of energetic young Kenyans at various gazetted recruitment centres across the country, has been dogged with claims of malpractices ranging from bribery, favoritism and nepotism.
