Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma has slammed the media for giving airtime to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.  Taking to his official social media account on February 26, Kaluma criticized the press for giving Gachagua airtime, claiming it could result in chaos before the 2027 elections.

The lawmaker reprimanded Gachagua for fueling division and anarchy in the nation with his media comments. "There will be increased violence in 2027 than ever before in Kenya if people like Gachagua are not stopped from fueling division and triggering anarchy," Kaluma said.

"If Kenyan media continue to follow this unethical, unprofessional, and irresponsible path of broadcasting poison, no one will survive the collapse of our country," Kaluma asserted.

In an interview today with a Kamba radio station, Gachagua dared President William Ruto to arrest him, vowing to reveal the truth about the government he once served.
