The government, through the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB), has urged parents, guardians, and caregivers to be cautious of the content consumed by their children, who are currently on a half-term break.

In a statement on Thursday, February 27, KFCB advised parents and guardians to carefully monitor the audio-visual content their children watch on television during the one-week break.

The film classification board also encouraged parents to supervise online platforms and other broadcast media channels accessed by their children and to guide them appropriately. "Schools are closed for the mid-term break, and children will be home for the next few days, throughout the weekend.

KFCB appeals to parents and guardians to monitor the audio-visual content that children are watching on TV," the board stated.
