The Kenya Railways Corporation has dismissed allegations that services at the Mombasa Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) station have been temporarily suspended.

In a statement on Thursday, February 27, the Corporation refuted a viral social media post claiming that all automatic check-in machines at the Mombasa SGR station had failed.

The misleading post alleged that the suspension of check-in services at the railway station had resulted in long queues as frustrated passengers struggled to access services.

According to the false claims, Chinese experts reviewed the system and suggested that two popular Kenyan bus companies could have hacked it.
