Hundreds of camel herders staged a peaceful demonstration in Isiolo town to pressurize the government to hasten arming Police Reservists recently disarmed pending fresh recruitment.
The herders moved a few camels around town before taking them to the County headquarters seeking audience with the County Commissioner where they presented their grievances.
A herder Abdinoor Maalim said that the camel owners were afraid of being attacked by rustlers following threats from their armed foes whom they graze together at Mlango area.
