Uasin Gishu Governor Dr.
Jonathan Bii Chelilim has announced the promotion of 1,423 staff members, marking the largest one-off staff promotion since 2016.
The Governor noted that for far too long, some deserving county employees had stagnated in the same job groups for over 15 years, with some falling victim to selective and unfair promotion practices.
Speaking during a farewell get-together for 79 staff members proceeding on retirement at the County Headquarters, the Governor emphasized that the promotion exercise aligned with his commitment to staff development and aimed at rectifying past disparities.
