The Kenya National Examination Council has cautioned Kenyans against fraudsters claiming to change the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KEPSEA) and the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results.

In a brief statement on Wednesday, January 8, the examination council flagged a telegram account reportedly operated by conmen who purport to have the ability to change the examination results.

The fraudsters alleged to have the council's permission to access each student's KPSEA and KCSE results which they claimed gave them the authority to make the changes.

In the guise of changing a student's results, the extortionists first demanded a significant amount of money in the form of a bribe from the unsuspecting victims.
