The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced the temporary closure of a section of Uhuru Highway in Nairobi County between University Way and Kenyatta Avenue roundabouts.

In a notice dated Friday, February 28, KeNHA Director General Kungu Ndung'u stated that the road closure is expected to last for one and a half hours on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 9am to 10.30am.

The KeNHA boss disclosed that disruption would be occasioned by the planned procession to commemorate World Engineering Day by the Institute of Engineers of Kenya (IEK). "KeNHA would like to inform the public of a temporary closure of Uhuru Highway at the section between University Way and Kenyatta Avenue roundabouts on the Mombasa-bound carriageway on Tuesday, March 4, 2025," the KeNHA boss warned.
