In a bid to enhance garbage collection, disposal and promote better waste management across Kiambu County, Governor Kimani Wamatangi has launched the distribution of 42 skips and 140 trash bins.
The initiative is aimed at improving cleanliness and reducing the burden on waste management systems and is set to be rolled out across all sub-counties within the county.
Presiding over the event, the Governor emphasized the critical role that effective waste management played in creating healthier communities and maintaining environmental sustainability. "The introduction of these skips and bins marks a significant step in our commitment to promoting cleanliness and reducing the environmental impact of unmanaged waste.
This initiative will ensure that all our residents have easy access to proper waste disposal options," he said.
