Francis Atwoli, the Secretary General of the Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU), has expressed support for the signing of an MoU between President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, stating that it will contribute to a more stable political environment.

In a statement shared with media houses, Atwoli said the agreement would bring peace and economic growth. "As COTU, we strongly believe that Kenya's development and prosperity have been hindered by prolonged politicking, which negatively impacts job creation and the improvement of working conditions for Kenyan workers," Atwoli stated.

He emphasized that Kenyan workers mostly suffer from economic crises caused by political instability, and the agreement would benefit greatly from this move.
