In a video message released on Saturday, March 8, he emphasized that the government's efforts go beyond addressing inequality and justice and also focus on promoting prosperity for women. "On this day, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering women and girls not just as a matter of inequality and justice but as a driving force of a stronger, more inclusive, and prosperous society," Ruto said in his International Women's Day message.

He highlighted that empowering women is essential for building a more inclusive society and strengthening the country's development.
