The lives of residents in Turkana, Garissa, and Bungoma counties are poised to benefit from the government's adjudication programme announced through a gazette notice on Friday.

Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Public Works, Housing, and Urban Development, Alice Wahome, announced that the government has begun the programme in the counties aiming at recognizing and securing land rights for communities.

The programme aims not only to resolve long-standing land disputes but also to unlock unprecedented economic opportunities and development for the region.

The government will begin surveying, mapping, and documenting the undeclared lands under the Community Land Act.
