Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has admitted he deliberately delayed the launch of his political party out of fears his move would be derailed by the government.
Gachagua made the admission while speaking at a church event in Kitengela, claiming that several unnamed elements in the government were on deck to hamper the launch of his 'political vehicle'.
According to Gachagua, he was on course to announce his party, but he had to make adjustments with his political adversaries in mind. "You are saying I have delayed you with the launch of the party.
I could not just announce it," Gachagua confirmed.
