The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) is planning to build new weighbridge stations at Isinya along the Athi River-Namanga (A) Road in Kajiado County and at Suswa along the Narok-Mai Mahiu (B7) Road in Nakuru County.
To support this program, the National Land Commission (NLC) has announced its intention to acquire land in the affected regions. The commission will also make adjustments to certain parcels of land as part of the project.
Impacted landowners have been encouraged to visit its offices in Nairobi or the County Coordinator's Office in Kajiado for detailed information.
To achieve the construction of the static weighbridge at Isinya in Kajiado, the government seeks to amend the details of approximately 0.89 hectares in Kaputei, Kajiado North to build the same. Similarly, the NLC confirmed that the government will acquire specific parcels of land for the construction of a static weighbridge at Suswa.
