The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has dismissed allegations that it ranked Nyambaria High School as the top institution in the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
The examination council, in a statement on Thursday afternoon, flagged a viral social media post suggesting that Nyambaria High School topped in the just released exam results with a mean grade of 10.87.
According to the disputed list, Cardinal Otunga came second among the best-performing schools with a mean score of 10.76 closely followed by Kokuro Boys and Alliance at 10.68 and 10.52 respectively.
The flagged social media post further ranked St Brigids Girl Kiminini, Strathmore School, and Pangani Girls High School at positions five, six, and seven respectively.
