The long-awaited Kangemi footbridge has finally been completed, addressing residents' longstanding calls for a safer crossing over the busy Kangemi Highway.
Local residents, who have long decried the dangers of crossing the highway, welcomed the footbridge as a crucial safety measure. "As a resident of Kangemi, I commend the government for completing this project after years of waiting.
Pedestrians have faced serious risks crossing the highway, and this bridge will provide much-needed safety," said Morris Luvuze, a Kangemi resident.
He further highlighted the bridge's impact, particularly on school-going children, who no longer have to risk their lives navigating the heavy traffic.
