The Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA) has announced the planned temporary closure of the Mombasa-Mtwapa-Kilifi Road to facilitate the completion of the New Mbogolo Bridge.

According to the authority, the temporary closure will kick off on Tuesday, March 18, and run to Tuesday, April 1. "The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) would like to inform the public that the Mombasa Mtwapa-Kilifi Road at the New Mbogolo Bridge will be closed to enable the completion of the bridge.

The closure will commence on Tuesday, March 18th, 2025, at midnight and end on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025, at midnight," part of the statement read.

To avoid getting caught up in traffic, motorists have been advised that their vehicles will be redirected to the old Mbogolo Bridge route until the project's completion.
