A group of women in Suba South Constituency has embarked on raising tree seedlings for planting this rainy season.
Dubbed the Sindo Tree Nursery Women Project, the group aims to raise at least 1.5 million tree seedlings annually.
The group Chairperson Judith Dhiambo said that the women are working with the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) in partnership with the Voice for Just Climate Action (VCA) and the Next Level Grand Facility.
Adhiambo said the organisations are helping them to expand the project, which they started with an initial two seed beds.
