Wajir County Government has launched its third annual Iftar food distribution program, providing much-needed relief to vulnerable households during the holy month of Ramadan.

The initiative, organized by the Department of Special Programmes, aims at ensuring that disadvantaged families could observe Ramadan with dignity and proper nutrition.

This year's program has seen the procurement of approximately 600 metric tons of assorted food supplies, including maize flour, fortified porridge, dates, and cooking oil.

The aid package is set to benefit more than 23,000 households across all 30 wards of Wajir County, offering critical support to those in need.
