At least 500 individuals with disabilities from 30 wards across Narok are benefiting from the ongoing donation and distribution of assistive devices courtesy of the county government.
The devices being issued at the William Ole Ntimama Stadium, ranging from wheelchairs, cerebral palsy chairs, crutches, and walking frames to walking sticks are part of a targeted initiative designed to enhance mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.
The distribution exercise follows a structured process that includes registration, individual assessments to determine the most suitable device, professional fitting, and counselling to support beneficiaries in adapting to their new equipment.
Speaking during the launch of the exercise, Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu emphasized his administration's dedication to the inclusivity and welfare of individuals with disabilities. "As a county government, we believe that every person deserves equal opportunity, dignity, and support regardless of physical ability.
