In a significant goodwill gesture to the Muslim community in Mombasa during the holy month of Ramadhan the government has distributed an assortment of food stuffs to the needy at the coastal town.
Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs, Hassan Joho who presided over the distribution exercise assured that the government offered the food stuff to the needy members of society across all six sub-counties to alleviate their suffering during this period.
He told residents during a distribution event in Shimanzi, of the government's commitment to ensure that no one goes hungry during this period when Muslims observe the dawn to dusk fast "We have ensured equity in the distribution of the food across all six sub-counties.
The government has done this to serve the deserving cases in Mombasa and Kenya.
