The Kenya Meteorological Department has forecast that rainfall in most parts of the country is expected to continue over the next seven days, with some areas, including Nairobi, likely to experience isolated heavy rainfall.
In the forecast published on Monday, covering Tuesday, March 18, to Monday, March 24, the Met department predicted morning rains in parts of the Highlands East of the Rift Valley (including Nairobi County), with night showers in some areas.
The region, which includes Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka-Nithi, and Nairobi counties, is expected to experience morning rains in a few places.
According to Kenya Met, rainfall is expected to occasionally spread to several areas during the first half of the forecast period, from Tuesday to Thursday.
