A Kenyan peacekeeper serving in the Multinational Security Support (MSS) mission in Haiti was rushed to hospital on Tuesday after sustaining injuries during an operation.

Jack Ombaka, the MSS Spokesperson, while addressing the press yesterday, said the Kenyan officer was injured while conducting a security operation in Kenscoff, within the Belot area.

According to the MSS Spokesperson, moments after sustaining the injuries, the police officer was evacuated to ASPEN Level 2 Hospital, where he received immediate medical attention.

Ombaka further revealed that the injured police officer successfully received treatment and is currently recuperating in stable condition.
