A total of twelve police officers working in Murang'a County have been promoted to senior ranks following recently concluded interviews.

Among those who were promoted are two sub county police commanders who rose to the rank of commissioner of police, five officers rose to the position of senior superintendent of police and another five got promoted to rank of superintendent of police.

The promoted officers were drawn from the Kenya Police Service, Administration Police Service, and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

According to the county police commander, Benjamin Kimwele, the promotions are part of the ongoing police reforms, which are intended to reward exemplary service, enhance leadership within the force and improve public safety.
