The newly sworn-in Meru Governor Rev.
Isaac Mutuma M'Ethingia has promised the county executive members that there will be a smooth transition without victimization when their time to exit comes.
During his first day in office after the swearing-in ceremony Monday, Mutuma held a meeting with County Executive Committee Members (CECs), Chief Officers (CO), Chief Executive Officers and directors from various Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies (SAGAs) to chart the way forward for the new regime. "Today I met with the County Staff for introduction and getting updates on work progress done by our departments for future planning and also talk about the past that we've had albeit painful, and we have agreed as a team that we will walk the journey together," said Mutuma.
He said his first assignment would be to bring the people of Meru together and heal the wounds inflicted on some of the workers in the course of their work, specifically in a very difficult working environment.
