The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has arrested two robbers who posed as police officers to terrorize and rob attendants at a petrol station along Mandera Road in Wajir.
According to a statement on Thursday, March 20, the two were apprehended after a distress call alerted DCI officers to the ongoing robbery.
Upon arrival at the scene, the officers discovered that a gang of five, dressed as police officers, had stormed the station and overpowered the workers in a daring night robbery.
The suspects tied the hands of the night guard and the pump attendant with ropes before making away with Ksh30,000 in cash.
