A total of 107 out of 214 candidates who sat last year's Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) at Lodwar Boys High School, will join university after attaining a grade of C+ and above.

The breakdown of the results shows that two students scored an A-, 10 scored B+, 15 scored B, 31 scored B-, and 49 achieved a C+.

For the ninth consecutive year, the school did not produce a straight A grade.

The school's Principal, Patrick Lokwayen, attributed this to the unwillingness of top KCPE performers, to join the institution after being selected. "Some parents from other parts of the country refuse to allow their children to join Lodwar Boys High School, due to misconceived notions of insecurity," said Lokwayen.
