Leaders in Laikipia and Meru counties have urged residents to support the Kenya Kwanza government in order to benefit from development projects.

They spoke while launching multi-million projects on Monday ahead of President Dr.

William Ruto tour in the Mt Kenya region next month.

Buuri East Member of Parliament Mugambi Rindikiri announced a Sh56 million ultra-modern market in Timau town supported by the Economic Stimulus Programme (ESP) through the Ministry of Housing, which is expected to accommodate more than 200 traders upon completion. "This is a modern market, and the government will spend Sh56 million; it will be a one-storey building accommodating 200 small-scale traders," said Rindikiri.
