Various health facilities in Uasin Gishu county are set to benefit from 22 state-of-the-art vaccine fridges worth Sh22 million to enhance healthcare service delivery.
The specialized fridges are designed to maintain optimal vaccine storage temperatures for up to eight days without power, ensuring that essential immunizations reach every child, even in the most remote areas.
The fridges donated by UNICEF and the National Vaccines and Immunization Program were flagged off by the partners in conjunction with the Uasin Gishu county government for distribution to health facilities across the county.
The latest donation follows the successful deployment of 51 similar fridges donated and distributed to health facilities across the county last year.
