The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has denied reports that it has begun the much-anticipated national police recruitment.
The Commission flagged a viral link that purports to link Kenyans to jobs within the police service. The link that popped up on various social media platforms, including on WhatsApp, came days after Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen confirmed plans to hire 10,000 police officers this year.
The posts that have now been flagged had the caption 'National Police Service (NPS) Recruitment Job 2025.' Administration Police Constables during a pass-out parade at Administration Police Training College, Embakasi, Nairobi, January 11, 2024.
Photo Ministry of Interior The link asked interested parties to follow the link to register for the recruitment exercise. "NPSC cautions the public against a fraudulent recruitment link purporting to publicise vacancies within the National Police Service," the Commission said.
