Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has expressed fear for his life following a recent incident where goons almost attacked him at a funeral in the Kiminini Constituency.
Natembeya, who spoke during a seed distribution exercise in Kaplamai ward, Trans Nzoia County, accused the government of allegedly sending goons to attack him during the burial of former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairperson Wafula Chebukati. Addressing the area residents on Saturday, March 29, Natembeya claimed that the recent plot against him was due to his constant criticism of the government.
According to the former Rift Valley regional commissioner, President William Ruto's administration had on several occasions attempted to finish him but failed in their mission.
