The United Democratic Party (UDA) has appointed three interim officials ahead of the party's internal elections next month.
In a gazette notice dated March 28, 2025, the Registrar of Political Parties, Ann Nderitu, said that the party has appointed Issa Abdalla Timamy as the 2nd deputy party leader, programs and operations, Kevin Lunani as the Deputy Chairperson, Operations, and Omboko Milemba as the Deputy Secretary General, Policy and Strategy.
Nderitu alerted that any person with a written submission concerning the intended change should table it to the registrar to her within seven days from the date of publication. "In exercise of the power conferred by section 20 (1) (c) of the Political Parties Act, (Cap. 7D), the Registrar of Political Parties gives notice that United Democratic Alliance (UDA) intends to appoint the following interim officials pending the internal party election," she stated.
