As the Mt Kenya region gears for President William Ruto's tour amid the political supremacy battles and unease, it has emerged that he will arrange for another tour in August, four months after the end of the current tour.

Head of Presidential Special Projects and Creative Economy Dennis Itumbi made the revelation over the weekend after a meeting that Ruto was personally in attendance.

According to Itumbi, the President himself endorsed the decisions based on the short timelines the next week tour will have.   Additionally, Itumbi indicated that the President is set to launch, inspect, and commission many projects in the region amid cries that have emerged in the past over the sidelining of the region.  President William Ruto(ahead) with his Deputy Kithure Kindiki at State House Nairobi during the launch of the Shirika Plan on March 28, 2025.
