Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja has assured that the government will equip Eastleigh Police Stations with enough police vehicles so as to reinforce the security in the area.

Acknowledging Eastleigh's image as a vital business hub in the country, the IG said that the government has built more police stations and is in the race to ensure that the security personnel in the area receive enough vehicles for patrols to beef up security. "Eastleigh is a very important area in the country because there are very many big businesses, and we have people from very different places, so it is a cosmopolitan area," he said. "I know there are few stations that have no cars, but I want to assure you that the government is now in the process of buying enough cars for the police force, and we will ensure that your stations receive them," he said.
