The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has revealed intricate details of how a househelp somehow stole Ksh2.2 million from her employer's house before eventually getting nabbed.
In a statement on the evening of Sunday, March 30, the DCI revealed they had nabbed the housekeeper and recovered the money, two weeks after she had mysteriously vanished.
According to the investigative agency, the incident took place on March 16, with the domestic worker planning to carry out her heist after her employer left the home.
After the employer left her home to run errands, the housekeeper set her plan in motion by making her way to the master bedroom and stealing Ksh2.2 million in cash.
