Seven family members perished in a road accident that happened on Sunday night in Naivasha, Nakuru County, along the busy Naivasha-Longonot Highway.
In the accident that occurred at around 9 pm on Sunday, the vehicle they were travelling in is reported to have hit a long-distance vehicle head-on, leading to the instant death of four of the family members.
The accident occurred near High Peak School along the busy highway, leaving their vehicle severely mangled.
According to reports, the seven were travelling from a memorial service when the incident that cut short their lives occurred. The other three, who were children, were reported to have succumbed to their injuries from the crash while undergoing treatment at Naivasha Level Four Hospital. Shortly after the accident, Sikika Road Safety, a road safety lobby, shared the news of the crash while urging the public to help them reach out to the families of the affected individuals.
