The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has arrested two suspects linked to a March 11 incident in Malaa, Machakos, where they pretended to be Good Samaritans before robbing and assaulting a woman.
In a statement released on Friday, April 4, the DCI confirmed that the incident occurred when the victim was driving to her residence along Kangundo Road, and her vehicle skidded off the road and got stuck. "The victim was driving along Ruai-Kangundo Road, heading to her residence at Malaa, when her vehicle skidded off the road and became stuck," the detectives stated.
According to the investigators, the victim was approached by the two suspects and their five accomplices, who pretended to assist her.
