Farouk Kibet is a co-president, according to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
This is after much speculation over the role of President William Ruto's Personal Assistant.
While speaking to KTN on Monday, April 7, Gachagua lifted the lid on what is one of the worst-kept secrets within President Ruto's government. According to Gachagua, Farouk practically runs the government.
The impeached former second-in-command revealed that Ruto has been using Farouk to send messages within the government, and 'everybody reports to him.' Last Monday, a day before launching his week-long tour of Mt Kenya, President Ruto accused Gachagua of picking fights with his juniors in his government, including the president's Personal Assistant, Farouk Kibet, and blogger Dennis Itumbi.
