The Kenya Meteorological Department has cautioned Kenyans living in various parts of the country to brace for heavy downpour for the next seven days, from Tuesday, April 8 to Monday, April 14.
Kenya Met, in its weekly advisory notice published on Tuesday, April 8, warned residents living in the Central Highlands, Western, North-western, and North-eastern Kenya to prepare for heavy downpour.
In the Central Highland regions, rains were projected in the counties of Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka Nithi, and Nairobi.
Rainfall in these counties was forecast to begin in the afternoon and extend into the night.
