Gathoni Wamuchomba, the Member of Parliament for Githunguri, has ramped up her criticism of the Kenya Kwanza government, accusing officials at the National Treasury of misappropriating Ksh20 million intended for a development project in her constituency.
In a statement on Wednesday, April 9, Wamuchomba claimed that the Treasury Principal Secretary (PS) had exploited his position to pocket the Ksh20 million budgeted for the fencing of the Githunguri Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) Institute in 2023.
In a damning declaration, the MP revealed that she was ready to be arrested if her suspicions against the PS were proven untrue. "Thieves of public money are holed up in the Treasury!
