Officials working at Narok Huduma Centre in collaboration with Kenya Red Cross Society have launched a blood donation drive at the Huduma Centre premises.

Other partners included the Ministry of Health, Medicatia Hospital and local media houses, where over 50 samples of blood were donated.

Narok Huduma Centre Manager Naserian Katampoi said the exercise was meant to boost blood banks in local hospitals and save lives.

She observed that donating blood is a way of helping people to improve their health and can make a significant difference in the life of an individual. "The blood we are donating today will be used to treat critically ill patients, those who have undergone surgery or complications during childbirth and accident victims," she said.
