A 40-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday, April 10, after terrorising the residents of the Lokichar Township with a string of robbery with violence crimes.
In a statement, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) revealed that a tip-off by the residents necessitated a launch of investigations into the matter.
He was ultimately apprehended at his residence in Kapese village, upon which a search of his premises unearthed several items linked to his crimes.
An AK-47 rifle was recovered alongside an AK-47 magazine and seven rounds of ammunition.
