The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced a temporary traffic disruption along the Thika Superhighway at Kihunguro in Kiambu County.

KeNHA Director General Kung'u Ndung'u, in a notice dated Thursday, April 10, attributed the traffic disruption to planned maintenance works along the section of the highway.

According to Ndung'u, the maintenance work along the highway will be conducted for the next four days, from Friday, April 11, to Monday, April 14, 2025.

The  KeNHA boss revealed that the section of the highway would be closed daily between 11 pm and 4 am for the aforementioned period.   "KeNHA would like to inform the public of a temporary traffic disruption following the closure of a section of Thika Superhighway (S1) Road at Kihunguro from Friday, April 11, 2025, to Monday, April 14, 202,5, between 2300hrs to 0400hrs.
